Ringmasters are four exceptionally virtuosic singers from Sweden. The Barbershop World Champions of 2012 captivate with a harmonious overall sound that is unparalleled. Their singing is so smooth and harmonious, their blending so perfect, that one can hardly take their eyes off them in awe. Added to this is a mischievous charm that melts every heart. The Christmas program of these exceptional singers is a colorful mix of well-known English-American classics such as "Jingle Bells," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," or "Hark The Herald Angels Sing," along with traditional Swedish Christmas music, including "Jul, Jul, Strålande Jul" and "Veni, Veni Emmanuel." Songs from famous Disney films, Barbershop, and Broadway classics are also part of the repertoire. In 2012, Ringmasters became the first non-American group in the over 50-year history of the competition to win the Barbershop World Championships in the USA, a success that can never be taken away from them.

If you think of hair dryers instead of musical tones when it comes to Barbershop, you are not wrong. "Barbershops," the American barber salons, were social meeting places at the end of the 19th century where gentlemen occasionally passed the waiting time with spontaneously improvised songs. Barbershop singing is overtone music in its purest form and arises from the precise tuning of vowels, intervals, and volume among the four voices. The specific harmony rules and the close arrangement create a special richness of sound and a remarkable volume. Both are outstanding features of this music. In addition to vocal quality, presentation is also highly emphasized in Barbershop, with movement, facial expressions, and overall physical expression playing a major role. And very important are the famous "tags," the concluding parts of a song. They are often drawn out with outstanding virtuosity, making it seem as if the "tag" is longer than the actual song.
